To explore the riad, and take easy walks in the immediate neighbourhood to get a feel of it, and relax in its quiet, or venture to the Jemaa el Fna Square at nighttime - street performers, food stalls, and all the hue of a busy night can now be seen.

Enjoy breakfast at your riad. Spend your day getting oriented to lively Marrakech. See the famous Jemaa el-Fna Square, packed with street performers, musicians, and market people. Then visit the Koutoubia Mosque, one of the largest mosques in Morocco, and take a walk through the souks to shop for spices, textiles, and handicrafts.

Afternoon: Relax in the peaceful Le Jardin Majorelle, a stunning garden once owned by Yves Saint Laurent, and then to the Bahia Palace, a tremendous manifestation of traditional Moroccan architecture. Finally, have dinner at a traditional restaurant or riad.

After breakfast, drive via the breathtaking Onila Valley to the remote village of Telouet. The trip continues through the stunning valley with its Berber villages and palm groves.

Continue on to Ait Ben haddou, UNESCO World Heritage site famous for the mud-brick kasbah. Visit this ancient fortified village which has served as a set for many famous films. Afterwards, drive to Ouarzazate for overnight.

Enjoy breakfast and then depart from Ouarzazate en route to the Dades Gorges. Stop at Boutaghrar to see some interesting caves utilized by the Berber people.

Have an exciting off-road adventure across the Dades Valley-driving past Berber villages, palm groves, and dramatic landscapes. Stop to see the Dades Gorges, which is famous for its "monkey fingers" rock formations. Spend the afternoon exploring and taking in views, continuing to a guesthouse or riad in one of the valley villages for the night.

After having breakfast, in the morning, drive towards Merzouga, which marks the beginning of the Sahara Desert. Prior to your arrival in Tinghir, you will have a very interesting off-road drive in the Dades Valley; passing through various landscapes, Berber villages, and rock formations can be truly breathtaking.

This off-road adventure is indeed a very unique and spectacular route, putting you right in the middle of nature.

Once you arrive in Tinghir, seize the opportunity to see the breathtakingly beautiful Todra Gorge, a marvelous canyon spotted with overwhelming cliffs. Continue to Merzouga, where you'll start a camel ride into the dunes, spending your night in a Berber camp amidst the Sahara Desert, including a traditional dinner and observation of the star-studded sky in absolute clarity.

Today will start at your luxury desert camp with quite a nutritious breakfast. Have a 4x4 desert drive over dunes, stopping in the village of Khamlia, Gnawa music famous, including tastings of this cultural heritage.

Later, start driving by quad bike over the Sahara's sandy surface and along the towering dunes and their ways. Return in ultimate comfort to your riad, rest in its serenity. Later in the afternoon, head out to catch the Sahara Desert sunset on the dunes, followed by dinner upon your return to your riad.

After breakfast, drive to Rissani, an ancient town and also a gateway to the Sahara. Visit the Rissani Souk, one of the biggest and oldest in the region, and Ksar El Fida, a typical fortified village.

Continue your drive through the Draa Valley to Agdz, an enchanting town with its palm groves and kasbahs. Stop for a visit to the Kasbah of Tamnougalt, one of the best-preserved kasbahs in the area, and then overnight in a local guesthouse or riad.

After having breakfast in Agdz, you drive to Marrakech but en-route, you take a detour through magnificent Atlas Mountains-with a stop at the traditional Berber Villages-you will see rugged peaks and valleys and great viewpoints.

You will also stop at Ouarzazate as you may wish to visit Taourirt Kasbah or take a tour around Ait Ben haddou ksar.

Continue overland across the scenic Tizi n'Tichka Pass, the highest point on the Atlas Mountains, then down to the Marrakech Plain. Your 8 day road trip in Morocco concludes upon arrival in Marrakech later that afternoon or evening.
