Itinerary of 3 Day from Marrakech to Fes Desert Tour
Your Marrakech to Fes Desert 3-day Tour begins from your hotel or Riad in Marrakech at around 08:00 a.m. The first step of this tour is crossing the High Atlas Maintains and The Tizi N’Tichka Pass. The road is full of majestic views such as the breathtaking nature and the mud-brick villages in the mountains. During this trip, we can offer you stops from time to time in order to take a break or take some memorable photos.
Around midday, we will arrive at the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou where many films took place in its wonderful buildings such as Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia. The next stop will be Ouarzazate which is nicknamed as The Hollywood of Africa.
After this tiring journey, a break is needed for lunch. Then we will visit the Skoura Oasis which offers wonderful natural and architectural beauty such as the Kasbah Amridil. After that, our next destination is Kelaat Megouna, which is known for its distilled rose water, then embark at a guest house for dinner and a night stay.
The second day of the tour begins with a drive to the Tinghir Oasis where you can enjoy the majestic and wonderful natural scenes all over the road.
When we arrive at Tinghir, we will visit the Tinghir Oasis where you can take a walk to discover the mysteries and secrets of the simple life of local residents. This walk will lead you to the magnificent Todra Gorges.
After having lunch at one of the local restaurants, our next step will be Rissani. This city is considered to be the cradle of the Alaouite Dynasty that rules Morocco. It is also known for its traditional market and caravan trade roads used to cross the Sahara Desert to Tombouctou.
Upon arrival to Merzouga in the afternoon, you will find the camels waiting for you in order to cross the Erg Chebbi Dunes towards the Sahara Desert Camp while enjoying the sunset.
In the desert camp, you will have dinner while enjoying the local Nomad music. Then, you can spend the night under the starlit sky in the desert camp.
In the early Morning of day 3 of Marrakech to Fes Desert tour, we will enjoy camel trekking and witness the fantastic sunrise across the Erg Chebbi dunes. After that, we will head towards the desert camp operator lodge where you can take a shower and have breakfast (In case of upgrading to a luxury desert camp, you will have breakfast at the desert camp, and showers are available inside your tent).
Our way to Fes from Merzouga starts with crossing the Ziz Valley through Errachidia, the capital of the Draa-Tafilalet region. Then we continue to Midelt where we can have lunch in a restaurant. After lunch, we will pass over the Middle Atlas Mountains and its forests to traverse the Berber towns of Imouzare and Ifrane known for their snowfall in winter.
Our arrival to Fes will be late in the afternoon. It is the last step of your Marrakech to Fes Desert tour. You will be dropped off at your hotel or Riad.
